Do I need a valid health card or private insurance?
The provincial health insurance plan for all Québec residents is managed by the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ). Medecindefamille.ca does not verify that you have valid coverage because we do not bill the RAMQ, nor do we interact in any way with your insurer. However, we do provide reimbursement receipts for insurance purposes.
